Breath-Test Research for Disease

Researchers at Swansea University found a new method for finding out serious illness from breath samples. This method can be applied for cancer, diabetes and other diseases too. “Many techniques were found unreliable previously”. - said researchers.

“High concentrations of odor in breath such as pear drops in relation to diabetes, ammonia in relation to hepatitis, and dimethyl sulphide to cirrhosis can correlate with disease”. - said Dr Masood Yousef, research assistant for Printing and Coating, Swansea University.
