Abnormalities have been found in a particular part of the brain’s white matter among the patients who diagnosed with schizophrenia recently.According to the study, which was published this month in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, brain signals when pass through the temporal lobe can mix and cause such symptoms that are linked with schizophrenia.This research was conducted at The Zucker Hillside Hospital and The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.

Szeszko, PhD, and his colleagues when they were examining the images from the brains of people with schizophrenia.

White-matter irregularities in schizophrenia have been recognized by others, but this is one of the first studies to notice abnormalities in patients near the beginning in sickness when indications first appear and after general pharmacologic involvement.Further, Dr. Szeszko discovered that these temporal lobe white matter irregularities were linked with more stern indications and neuropsychological loss.
