Androgenetic Alopecia” or in simple terms, “baldness” is an extremely common disorder affecting both men and women however its incidence is higher among men than women. There is a hair loss however there is seen a typical distribution of hair loss.

Biotech” startup “HairDX” has developed one of its own kinds of consumer genetic test which would be distributed soon among the doctors through ‘George Tiemann & Co. (Hauppauge, NY)’, a supplier of surgical instruments since 1826. This test would evaluate the chances of developing male baldness

Baldness

‘Androgenetic Alopecia’ gradually converts the terminal hairs into indeterminate hairs and finally to vellus hairs. There is a reduction in the terminal-to-vellus hair ratio, finally resulting in hair shedding in spite of the fact that the fibrous tracts remain. Patients with this disorder usually show a typical distribution of hair loss.

This new study has made it possible for the doctors to apply the genetic study directly to the patients. While deciding upon a course of treatment, the ‘HairDX’ test carries an effective use both for the patients and the physician.

The tests conducted with HairDX gave better results in regards to the genetic variant found in men and women. It was more prevalent among more than 95% of bald men. Almost 60% of patients showed an onset of male pattern baldness before the age of 40. However it’s less presence among one in six people gives an indication that there is greater then 85% likelihood that a person will not experience early onset pattern baldness.

Dr. Craig L. Ziering who carries an authority in the field of hair transplant has been associated with ‘George Tiemann & Co’ which has been enjoying an undisputable popularity in the US as the oldest surgical instrument distributor for the past 10 years. The company has developed a large range of products for cosmetic industry, dermatology and hair transplant industries. It provides an effective treatment choice to the millions of women and men who suffer from this problem all over the world.

Dr. Ziering suggests that it is always better to control the problem at the earlier stage as the process of hair loss happens progressively.

This has given a better insight into the causes and the treatment of this problem.
HairDX provides a convenient an affordable means to diagnose the problem at the early stage, moreover it is lesser painful than all the previous techniques.
