Genetic Connection entices People to Smoke:

Smoking and Lung cancer

The findings of three different teams of Scientists:

The findings of three different teams of scientists have formed a case strong enough to the genetic support in the direction of smoking and how genetics and cigarettes act together to be the reason of cancer.Their discoveries also provide some more suitable cures to say goodbye to smoking.

Christopher Amos’s point of view:

Christopher Amos, a professor of epidemiology at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and author of one of the studies, says, “This is kind of a double-whammy gene,” He further adds “It also makes you more likely to be dependent on smoking and less likely to quit smoking.” (more…)

Rosetta Genomics, an Israel based company reported that its test utilizes microRNAs, a kind of genetic material, which regulates genes.MicroRNAs are also known to play a part in cancer.

MicroRNAs were employed by researchers to find out tumors, which spread within the body from sources that are unknown. This kind of cancer is known as CUP (cancer of unknown primary).
