Autism is a brain development disorder, which is characterized by impaired social interaction, unusual or repetitive or limited activities and verbal and nonverbal communication problems.

A child with autism may not be responding to others or focussing on a single item for a long time. They fail to respond to their names and even try to avoid eye contact with others. While answering the question about autism, researchers explain that,  such children may find it difficult to interpret what others say as these children fail to understand the social cues like facial expressions and tone of voice.

A child with Autism is seen to make repetitive movements like twirling, rocking and even head banging. These children do no know how to interact with other children and also start speaking late. They also show a reduced sensitivity to pain but are seen to respond abnormally to sound and touch.
