Yahoo launched its new mobile platform service,”OneConnect” on Tuesday. This new mobile platform service will integrate multiple functions at one place including email, text messaging, instant messaging, and social networking.

“One Connect” is included in the Yahoo’s roll out plans as a part of “Yahoo Go 3.0” and new “Yahoo Home Page”. “Yahoo Go 3.0” is a unique offer from this company having an ‘all-in-one’ application facility. The company is currently under negotiations with the ‘DataViz’, the company providing specialized mobile access services to Microsoft Exchange email accounts and Microsoft Office documents. Yahoo and DataViz together will be developing widget versions of DataViz’s “RoadSynch” and “Documents To Go” applications.

“OneConnect” will also be featuring an ability to set up specific messaging shortcuts. These shortcuts will be helpful in getting in touch with people in a quick and easy way. It will also have an exclusive ‘social contact card’ for keeping up to date information of any contact. Location sensing capability of this facility will be helpful in locating, chatting, and sharing of information with other ‘OneConnect” service users.

Yahoo intends to extend the “OneConnect” support to millions of mobile phone devices and mobile phone browser users across the world in near future.
