New F5 Tablet PC from Motion Computing Provides Safety from Short Drops, Rain, and Dust
“Motion Computing” launched its new ‘Tablet PC’, the ‘F5’, exclusively for the people who need computers while performing field services and other out jobs. People from field services, construction site jobs, governments, and in manufacturing related duties need specifically designed computers which should be tough in handling and should be free from rain and dust.
The F5, the rugged tablet PC from ‘Motion Computing’ comes with a three year warranty and covers short drops from 30 inches along with all other features that are important for field workers.
This ‘Tablet PC’ is powered by Intel processors, the Core Solo 1.2 GHz U1400 processor. It also includes an exclusive Intel wireless 3945 Wi-Fi network connection. The computer has a standard 1 GB RAM and 40GB hard disk drive. The F5 users will also have an option for 32 GB solid state drive instead.
The ‘F5 Tablet PC’ from ‘Motion Computing’ is completely compliant for the ‘International Electro-technical Commission Standards’ as far as the protection from dust and water is concerned, claims the company. This specific model has an international protection rating of 54 on the scale of standards.
The F5 is made up of magnesium frame providing the computer a better durability in handling. Its shock mounted hard drive, integrated digital camera, and scanner for RFI tags add to its ruggedness and handling stability features.
The ‘F5 Tablet PC’ has pre-installed’ Windows Tablet PC Edition’ and users may also opt for ‘Windows Vista Business Edition’ alternatively. The’ field-ready’ three year’s warranty from the company provides enough coverage for any damage from rain, dust, and drop risks.
The company has incorporated two important features of mobility and ease-of-use in its new tablet PC in order to facilitate the users with specific rugged PC requirements. Increased durability is another advantage of the inclusion of shock proof technology in the making of this Tablet PC and that too “without all of the costs associated with a fully rugged system”, according to the statement of Scott Eckert, Motion Computing market executive.
The ‘F5 Tablet PC’ has a price range of $2,699 to $4,000 in accordance with the chosen configuration of the machine. The company is selling these new tablet PCs through its network of value-added resellers and designated distributors.

It really looks impressive and also for the fact that i don’t have to use keyboard much which itself has come as a great relief for my fingers. But the price seems a bith high and i hope it will come down soon so that person like me can buy it!

F5 Tablet PC will be a very handy device.
Though at the range of $2,699 to $4,000 it can be a bit pricey, but then with the mobility and easy to use features its understandable
